Dear Meagan,
So today is the one year anniversary of me writing this blog to you! I hope you are still enjoying it as much as you were in the beginning :)
This past year has been a whirl wind with some ups and downs but YOU PERSONALLY keep moving up. I am most proud of you for attending Woodside, handling surgeries so well, and being an overall rock star!
I know that every day you are getting closer to your overall goal of being independent. Annnnd when you learn to be independent you will be emotionally ready to possibly handle a relationship ;) ow-ow lol.
I officially ordered my copy of 'More then a Carpenter' from Amazon and should be getting it by tomorrow. Then we can start our adventure of reading it 'together'. I am so excited :) I still don't know what I did with my last copy but oh well, it's on the fix!
It was great to see you last weekend to celebrate Father's Day :) I will definitely see you Up North over the 4th of July! Woo hoo! So excited to go on the new boat!
Love you girl, have a great week!
XOXO,
Brooke

A Sonnet For Meagan
Dear Meagan,
This week you requested a Sonnet :) lol... not going to lie I had to look up what it was and there are surprisingly many versions of Sonnets but I decided to go with the Shakespearean format. Here goes nothing:
Meagan is a very strong chick
She has been through a lot
But she always bounces back quick
That tumor never had a shot!
I admire her more than she will ever know
She is such an inspiration
Her dedication will always show
Not just to me but to the whole nation :)
She is committed to her dream
Of overcoming all she has been through
She is on the winning team!
And she is persistent too
Meagan is a champion and a fighter
Her light only keeps shining brighter :)
I think we should leave the Sonnet writing to Shakespeare in the future but that is the best I got for now! Love you and see you Sunday :)
XOXO,
Brooke

Faith Can Move Mountains
Dear Meagan,
Last night Bre and I saw 'Now you see me' the movie about magicians robbing a bank. While the movie was great, there is one major thing I got from it....
La foi peut déplacer des montagnes
Which is French for, 'faith can move mountains.' While the movie claims it is a French expression I'm going to argue a little differently... I've heard the same idea from a different book written a loooong time ago :)
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." – Matthew 17:20
Straight from the mouth of J-E-S-U-S :) Faith is EVERYTHING, yes faith in Jesus but also faith in yourself. As long as you believe you can accomplish anything, you can. As long as you believe you will be independent, self-sufficient, and motivated.... you will be!
Here are some other GREAT quotes about faith from http://www.selfhelpdaily.com/quotes-about-faith/:
Strike from mankind the principle of faith and men would have no more history than a flock of sheep. – Mark Beltaire
So keep up your great work and keep going to Woodside :) Soon your faith will be so big that nothing will be able to stop you. How's that for kicking mAss? ;)
Love you!

Brooke
